I have always been an avid reader but never imagined where I would be today. I started as an arc reader a few years back, and when I was able to go to my first Indie Romance Author convention- I was over the moon. It was there that I met an amazing author- and now one of my best friends – who asked if I would Beta read for her. In true star-struck fashion, I jumped at the chance. I beta read and loved her story, but it wasn’t until a few months later when I received a simple package from her that I decided I would “shoot my shot” to see if I could help her out at any future local events.
She then decided to take a chance on me- someone with no experience as a PA - and asked if I wanted to join her. I was immediately immersed into the world behind the scenes and really began to flourish and find an immense passion for helping these amazing people with getting their stories out there. Whenever I would find a task or skill that I didn't already possess, I would strive to learn it, to make myself a more valued part of the team.
Since then, I have branched out and started working not only on PA skills, but on fine-tuning my own crafting skills and offering them to the outside world. I still work with this amazing author, but have added a few more to my list as well as continuing to grow and help out other indie authors whenever and wherever I can.
